LEAD & METALWORK SERVICES

Lead Welding

In situations where lead sheets need joining—whether during installation or repair—welding offers a strong, seamless bond. We use gas torch welding techniques to form joints that are durable and watertight, extending the lifespan of the roof or gutter.

Welded joints are essential in locations that will experience movement, standing water, or long sheet runs. They’re also useful when repairing splits or inserting patches into existing lead without using fixings.

Lead Welding

Typical welding jobs include:

  • Joining long gutter sections

  • Seam welding on large flat roofs

  • Repairs to worn or cracked lead bays

  • Strengthening or sealing difficult junctions

This is a key part of our leadwork skillset and something we take pride in—done properly, a welded lead joint can last just as long as the sheet itself.
